Jewish, play-based preschool in search of a dynamic teacher who would like to join our amazing team of educators. The right candidate will be energetic and have a passion for being a positive influence on young children and knowledge in early childhood development.
This role promotes and nurtures the education of students birth to age five by using child observation to inform lesson planning and goal setting. The individual creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the physical, social and emotional development of students, while partnering with parents and engaging in open communication.

EXPERIENCE
Education level: High school diploma
Experience: Minimum of two years classroom experience with children birth to five (preferred)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively engage with the children at all times, while serving as a positive role model who demonstrates professional, ethical and responsible behavior.
Attends and participates in staff meetings and events, educational opportunities, and professional development.
Creates a safe, positive and interactive classroom environment that supports children's learning and independence through selection of learning materials, and interest centers.
Maintains safe, secure, and healthy educational environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with school regulations, state certifications, and program accreditations.
Manages student behavior in the classroom and complies with discipline policies.
Plans and implements activities that promote the social, physical and intellectual growth of children
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Employees may be required to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently. Must be able to kneel, crouch, stand, walk, lift and perform repetitive motions for extended periods of time. Employees may also be subject to body fluids and odors.
